Whew! So I am getting to the end of the boxes, finally. I love, love, love our house! And I can't wait until it's all put together so I can share pictures. I've been thoroughly organizing and dejunking EVERYTHING! Which is why I still have boxes to unpack and we've been here for two weeks. But I'm close. It will be good to get settled in and get back to a normal routine. Then I can get back to my photography and graphic design. Wahoo! I'm also looking at getting a job. Working from home would be my first choice. Does anyone have any connections to those types of jobs? Sophie's birthday is next week and I haven't even thought about what I'm going to do for it. I'm trying to wean Layla but it's proving to be more difficult than I expected. She will NOT take a bottle. Or a sippy cup. Or a sippy cup with a soft spout. I've tried water, formula, milk, chocolate milk, soy milk. She won't have any of it and just chews on the thing! Grrr. Guess I'll just keep trying. Hmmm. . .Dave is in school full-time and finishing up his appraisal training. He likes to stay busy. Emma started first grade loves it of course. And so far her homework has been way easy for her. She was doing first grade math last year and so she's a bit ahead with that. She has also read all of the books they are starting to read. Maybe they are just reviewing for a while. But I got a note saying the would be working heavily with phonics this year so that they would know how to read for second grade. Obviously different schools are on different schedules as she was required to know how to read by the end of kindergarten in Texas.
Anyway, blah blah blah. I'll be back with pictures of the house. Which means everyone else needs to get ready for the home tour. Go get your houses ready as well!

I'm not a huge fan of the moving process, but there's something about a new house. It's like a blank slate. Can't wait to see pictures!
I love moving - it's hard to have the entire house clean and organized - it's easier to accomplish when moving. My friends own a business that they hire people to work from home for. You can go to http://www.platinumrecall.blogspot.com/ for more info.
I have a friend that blended up bananas in the milk so her baby would drink it. If Layla likes bananas that might work???
And-THANKS so much for doing our pictures. I love, love, love them! I got them all developed today, and you're right, we've wallpapered the house in Lydia! You have an amazing talent and I plan to use it again in the future!!!
