I got an earache on Friday. I can't even remember the last time I had one, but it was definately before I was a teenager. Ouch! I use to get them all the time as a child and just hated them. In fact, I remember praying every night that I wouldn't get an earache. Anyway, so I got this earache on Friday and felt miserable. I took a bunch of ibprofen but it just minimized the pain. And Friday night I woke up shaking from a fever. I can't remember shaking so much from a fever. Saturday I still felt miserable, with a few fleeting moments of relief. Luckily, Sunday morning I awoke to no pain; just in time to give my talk! I seriously hope that I don't have to experience another earache for a very, very long time. Or better yet, EVER!
And speaking of jeans, I fit into my favorite pair today! Wahoo! I haven't worn them for a year because it was just about this time last year that I found out I was pregnant and instantly gained like ten pounds. All I have to say is, OH YEAH! Especially to the nurse who chewed me out for gaining so much weight while I was pregnant and lectured me on how depressed I would be when I had the baby and then had all this weight to lose. Thanks, I've had three other children (four now) and have always lost the weight and definitely don't need to be told that I might have troubles losing it. So there! Take that ornery old nurse! Never tell a pregnant woman that she is gaining too much weight (i.e. you're getting fat) and tell her that she might not lose the weight after the baby comes. I mean really! I still have some toning to do, but I'm happy with the weight loss. And I think this is the fastest I have lost the weight in four pregnancies.

Jerk nurse! And jerk earache! And YAY! for getting into those jeans! Whoohoo!
Lucky you! You are always so quick to lose that weight. I remember getting earaches all the time too, but maybe not as much as you. I can't believe that they didn't put tubes in your ears! How did the talk go?
Ah! Weight! I rejoice everytime I can put a new pair of jeans on. I still have a long way to go, but small victories help! Nurses are an odd group, they're either super great or super not-great. My nurses in the hospital made me feel like I was starving my baby. Shame on them!
