Emma's Baptism

We were in Utah from the end of May until the first of July. Yeah, for like, seven weeks!  It was great to spend so much time with all of our family in Utah. While we were there, Emma was baptized on July 3rd.  It was a special day and I'm so glad that we got to spend it with all of our close family. She asked her Uncle Daniel and Aunt Steffani to speak and they both gave awesome talks.  Emma was baptized in the same font that I was baptized in!  Pretty cool!  Unfortunately, someone pulled the plug in the font before we got there and we had to fill it back up the fast way.  The fast way being with cold water.  So, it was a bit of an icy experience for Emma!  But she was a trooper.

Celebrating July 24th

We weren't in Utah to celebrate Pioneer Day, but we did have a lot of fun here in Texas!  Some of Dave's co-workers had a little shindig on a lake for the day.  Ummm. . .can you say fun?  It was absolutely gorgeous.  The lake was actually a dammed up part of a river. And it was the perfect temperature.  The kids had a blast and swam in the water almost the entire time.  There was a rope swing that Dave had some serious fun with!  The food was great, the people were great, and the water was great!  If I could spend the summer at a lake house I might actually enjoy the Texas heat!  And not to forget about the pioneers and the heat I'm sure they endured in their journeys, we endured sweltering heat in our house when we got home and found the a/c broken.  Ummm. . .not so fun.
A beautiful place to spend the day

 Many jumps from the swing
Swim, swim, swim
